Entrance Mats Or Indoor Carpet Mats – Make The Right First Impression!

Posted on: May 15th, 2013 by

Entry Mats Speak Volumes About You!First impressions are incredibly powerful. The first young man who walks through my doorway asking permission to take my daughter to the church social had best be on point when it comes to manners and appearance. Take into consideration one of the guidelines I have found to clarify my position with hopeful young men on the subject of first impressions.

“I am aware that it is considered fashionable for boys of your age to wear their trousers so loosely that they appear to be falling off their hips. Please don’t take this as an insult, but you and all of your friends are complete idiots. Still, I want to be fair and open minded about this issue, so I propose this compromise: You may come to the door with your underwear showing and your pants ten sizes too big, and I will not object. However, in order to ensure that your clothes do not, in fact, come off during the course of your date with my daughter, I will take my electric nail gun and fasten your trousers securely in place to your waist.”

I have several other rules regarding first impressions and young men seeking to date my daughters, most advice concludes with warnings of shovels and large empty plots of land.

But I digress.

First impressions are powerful. If I come to your place of business and the first thing I see is a raggedy, faded, undersized, entrance mats or indoor carpet mats it immediately starts you out at a distinct disadvantage and as you may have surmised, I am not as forgiving as I could be.

Nice, crisp, colorful, logo mats from can go a long way in developing a fantastic first impression. It shows that you care what we, the consumer, think when we enter your premises for the first or fiftieth time. It shows you want to create a first impression and that you care about the interior of your establishment as well.

Conversely, having rotting, nasty, dirty, slovenly commercial entry mats makes me want a shovel and an empty plot of land. Figuratively speaking, of course.

Logo Mats Are A Companies First Impression!

Logo Mats Are Only Good If They Are Of Quality!Back in November I told you guys about that logo mat I saw at a car repair shop, when I had just gotten my business cards and was excited to hand them out. Remember? Well if you don’t, I basically gave my card to a guy because his logo mat was falling apart.  He never did call…

Anyway, I was back at that same repair shop just yesterday and guess what? Same dirty mat.  It kind of upsets me. It’s not even the fact that the guy didn’t call ME, it’s more that he doesn’t seem to see the importance in having good looking logo mats.

As a customer when I walk in the door and see the obviously torn indoor carpet mats that look faded it makes be second guess the quality of the business itself.  Granted, they do great work which is why I chose them to fix my car the second time around. Had I been inside that office BEFORE deciding to send my car there, I would have probably walked out. I’m big on appearances and I like things to look clean and like there is some pride behind them. If you don’t care about the appearance of your business, how much can I trust you with my car?

The other thing I should have pointed out to him was without the border on his mat, it’s now a tripping hazard. I only determined this because as I was walking out I kicked up his entrance mats.  Plus, like I pointed out back in November, if a front door mat or any entrance mats are borderless, the water that is supposed to me trapped in the rug will seep out thus causing another hazard.  The picture you see is the actual mat (I scrambled the company name so they don’t get all huffy)

Literally, for the less than price I paid to fix a headlight he could have had a brand new, durable logo mat.

Carpet Logo Mats Or Martial Arts Mats We’ve Got You Covered

Interlocking Foam Mats create the ideal martial arts flooringI know I just wrote a blog article about seeing our products or similar, but just yesterday I had two experiences that I thought I’d tell you about.

The first happened at a bakery in Studio City, CA. While I was ordering my ice cream, I looked down and realized I was standing on a carpet logo mat. Of course the first thing I did was flip over the mat corners to see if our name is anywhere, once I determined it wasn’t ours (thankfully, because it was torn up!) I told the lady behind the counter that if they need a new mat, I can get them one of much better quality, for much less than I’m sure they paid.  I didn’t expect her to get the manager!!  When he came out I let him know that I work for a company that manufactures logo mats, and I noticed that his may need to be replaced soon.  He tried to tell me that their mat looked like that because it was thrown in a washing machine and those types of mats can only be dry cleaned, “as I’m sure you’re aware “.  I couldn’t wait to tell him that our carpet logo mats can absolutely be thrown in a washing machine and our colors would not fade nearly as bad as his. I’m not sure if he’ll call me but as we were pulling out of the parking lot I saw the cashier rolling up the mat.

The other incident happened literally 15 minutes later while I was walking by a Martial Arts studio. My friends and I were walking in an alley and I saw a few boxes of what looked like our red/blue jumbo interlocking foam mats, so again I stopped to look. This time I wasn’t planning on saying anything but I was busted by the owner while looking at the tiles…woops!  At first he was a little angry as I’m sure he thought I was trying to steal from him, but then I explained that I work for a company that sells martial arts flooring and was just curious.  He asked me what company and “out of curiosity” what my pricing for these tiles were. Unfortunately I had to tell him that we don’t carry those tiles, ours are 4’x’4×1” and his appeared to be 40”x40”x1/2”.  He then, like the bakery guy, proceeded to try and educate me by telling me that the thicker tiles really don’t work as well.  He said they are too soft and therefore make it harder to maneuver and don’t support your knees and ankles.  He tried to make it sound like my knowledge was incorrect.  Since he obviously just purchased tiles and I wasn’t in the mood to argue with a Sensei in a dark alley, I said “ya that makes sense” and kept walking.  I’ve never used these tiles, all I know is what I hear from you guys, but I find it hard to believe that people would be expanding their floors if they didn’t work. I found this fun video of our tiles being used and it looks to me that everybody’s ankles are being supported, and able to maneuver pretty well.  You be the judge…

Logo Mats

Logo MatsCustom logo mats are a great way to advertise at the entrance of your business or trade show booth.  They are inviting, look great and help to promote your company or brand at the same time. Whether you have your own trade show flooring or rent your tradeshow floors a carpet logo mat may be just what you need.Â

Some logo mats are vinyl backed and some are rubber backed.  Vinyl mats will be less expensive, but are also less durable.  In addition, many rubber backed mats are actually machine washable.

There are many different ways to produce a logo mat. Some manufacturing processes use inferior “overprinting” where screen printing or transfer printing merely adds color to the tops of the carpet fibers, which ultimately wears off.   A higher quality and longer lasting process uses micro-jets that directly inject the dye deep into the carpet fibers, producing vibrant yet durable and fade-resistant mats.

Carpet logo mats are available in various stock sizes, but custom sizes are also available if desired/needed.  Artwork submission, proof approval, production and delivery is typically about 4 weeks.
