Ballet Barres – Not Just For Ballet Anymore

Posted on: July 27th, 2012 by

Over the last year I have sold ballet barres for Pilates and other exercises just as much as for there original purpose, ballet.  Of late, using a ballet barre for exercise, seems to be quite the craze. I’m selling them to gyms, athletic clubs, pilates studios and more.  People who are taking classes at these locations are now getting ballet barres for the home.  I have been told that there is extensive exercise routines used with the bars that are great to help to build core strength and improve muscle tone.  People are also buying our yoga straps to wrap around the bar to create even more exercise routines.

Xtend Barre is a great example of this. I have been getting lots of sales from people who are buying into the franchise and opening or extending their business. It is Pilates based exercises used primarily with Ballet Barres. This is a great example of where the yoga straps come into play. Just look up Xtend Barre online and watch one of their video clips and you will see just how many different exercise routines can be done using our ballet barre.

Armor Fatigue Anti Fatigue Mats

Posted on: July 25th, 2012 by

Armor Fatigue Anti Fatigue MatsThere is a huge selection of anti fatigue mats on the market today.  In this article, I would like to focus on one in particular, the The Armor Fatigue Mats.  Is this the best anti fatigue mat?  Well, that would depend on your need and how you intend on using the mat.

The Armor Fatigue has a great balance of anti-fatigue properties, while also providing a durable top surface. The various pure foam anti fatigue mats on the market are great for situations where people may be standing for long periods and simply need for pure comfort.  However, when working with products that if dropped can damage a softer foam a mat with a more durable top surface, like the Armor Fatigue, is a great option… and it’s more cost effective than some of the more industrial mats.

As a sales representative for a mat company, I suggest the Armor Fatigue Mat to many customers who are price sensitive and want/need something relatively inexpensive with a bit of extra strength on the top of their anti fatigue mat. The denser layer of foam on top of the softer bottom layer is what gives it the perfect balance.

If you are on your feet all day and need some relief, an anti fatigue mat might do the trick.

Soft Rubber Interlocking Tiles

Posted on: July 3rd, 2012 by

Our SoftRubber Interlocking Tiles have become very popular since their release not very long ago.

For fitness areas where people are doing aerobics and other exercises but also want to have their fitness equipment in the same area these Soft Rubber Interlocking Tiles . They have a nice softer layer of foam that is protected on top with a thinner layer of rubber to stiffen up the tile.  So customers for home and larger commercial gyms can finally have a tile that gives both the anti fatigue properties to have a cushioned surface and not have their equipment sink into the tile.

For tradeshow events where people are tired of renting carpet or other types of trade show flooring for every show, soft rubber flooring is a great alternative.  Purchasing your own flooring will provide a cost savings, comfort and a unique appealing flooring surface.  For many tradeshow areas these softer interlocking tiles, which are a type of anti fatigue flooring, provide thousands of people with a nice cushioned surface to walk on, they are easy to install and look great.  Best of all, these anti fatigue properties don’t mean you have flooring that is too soft, the top rubber surface is stiff and can withstand heavier equipment if needed.

There are many other applications where these interlocking rubber flooring tiles are a great fit and we have gotten tons of positive feedback on how well they hold up, the ease of installation and improved look of the area.  As a sales representative at, our SoftRubber Tiles are one of my favorite products to sell because it really does fit a niche that was missing in the industry for so many years.

Rolled Rubber Everywhere

Posted on: July 3rd, 2012 by

As a sales representative for a mat company, I have had many inquires into our Rolled Rubber product and it’s many uses.  It is one of my favorite products to sell as it is tough as nails and has many applications.  I originally sold it as rubber gym flooring for large commercial gyms to residential home use.  Since then I have found many uses for the product and a lot of times it is the customer who lets me know why it works well for them.

One of my favorites and largest growing uses is for doggy day care and agility facilities.  In the past there wasn’t a good material for doggy daycare flooring.  Since then the word has spread that this is the product to use.  It can be lose laid for people who are just leasing a spot or glued down for permanent applications.  For agility the thicker material is usually used and for day care type facilities a thinner version may be used with a sealer application for easy clean-up.

I am now starting to sell to; golf courses for their bridges, ramps for better traction, ski lodges for their work stations, and patios to protect them from weather/especially snow. The list goes on and on and is still growing.

And to know that this is made from recycled car tires is the icing on the cake. Just think about all the tires you have gone through in your lifetime and that we have found such great uses for them.  Rather then taking them to a junkyard and wasting space. The material is used for other products as well, like playground tiles and much, much more. Too much to list at the moment. What a fantastic product.

Dancing Is A Great Workout, But What’s The Best Dance Floor?

Posted on: June 14th, 2012 by

I received a phone call the other day from a previous customer who has purchased from us on multiple occasions.  During our conversation, I asked him how the Matlay Dance Flooring he purchased from us a couple of years ago was holding up.  He said that he was actually hesitant at first to purchase our vinyl dance floor because he wasn’t sure how it would hold up in a tap dance environment and with various pieces of equipment that they would often put on the floor.  He then proceeded to tell me that the matlay dance floor looks almost as new as the day he bought it.

He further stated that he has recommended our company over the years to several other dance studios and they have all been extremely happy with our service and how quickly they received the flooring after they placed their order… and of course the money they saved.  He said he will continue to recommend people to our company and thanked me again for our great sales and customer service team.

I wanted to share this customer story with you because I received a phone call the other day from another customer of ours was looking into buying the adagio flooring, but got a quote that was about twice the cost of our dance flooring.  I think we know who she ended up buying from!   So, to anyone who may have hesitations about purchasing our Matlay Dance Floor, hopefully this gives you a little peace of mind.

SoftRubber – Shiatsu Thai Massage Mats

Posted on: June 8th, 2012 by

I received an email from one of my many happy customers and wanted to share it.

I have bought many of your Shiatsu Thai Massage Mats.  We have a series of colleges that are the largest post-secondary education companies in the U.S.  One of our popular courses is to become a Massage therapy Instructor.

Not only does your shiatsu massage mat hold up to course after course of heavy usage, we have recently bought another product that has helped the students from getting too worn out by the long days of learning and practicing the career.  They’re your interlocking Soft Rubber tiles.   There are so many benefits of this product.  It makes the floor look great, holds up the weight of the tables while also providing some comfort for our students who are standing for hours at a time.

I just wonder what the next product I’m going to find from your company that will help our colleges really stand out.  Thanks so much for all your help and quality products.

Custom Treadmill Mat and Exercise Equipment Mat

Posted on: June 1st, 2012 by

Treadmill mats and other types of exercise equipment mats are an important part of a gym or home gym design.  The most common materials used for these mats is vinyl and rubber.  There are a few options in stock mat sizes and very few options in regard to mats color (usually just solid black).  Some people want something a different size and/or a different color and it’s not that easy to find.

Here is feedback received from one customer who purchased a rubber equipment mat for two of his exercise machines:

“I recently purchased some Rolled Rubber material from your company to use underneath my exercise equipment. I had moved the equipment to a room in my house that had hardwood flooring and needed to get protection under the equipment in a hurry.  I required specific sizes and wanted something I could cut down to the exact size I wanted.
Speaking to one of your representatives they pointed me in the direction of a 25′ roll of this solid rubber material. He checked to make sure it was in stock and got it out to me right away. Knowing I was putting it on hardwood he told me that the material that had the brown fleck in it would have a nice color match.
Well, it was spot on. Not only do I have the protection I need it has also made the room look real nice. Durable, easy to cut and just lay it down. The next week my friends next door did the same exact thing, they were pretty impressed. I sent you this picture so you can see how it turned out.  I just wanted to say thanks for the full service that you don’t seem to get from internet companies anymore. “
Thanks for the feedback Mike.

Display Flooring

Posted on: June 1st, 2012 by
I work for a mat company as a sales representative and I sell a lot of mats.  One of the most common product lines is our trade show flooring for trade show booths.  There is a large selection to choose from and various styles and colors as well.  In addition to the trade show booth flooring customers are often also interested in display flooring to highlight or feature something within the booth.
With that in mind, I’d like to share with you a note I recently received from one of my customers:
“I have been looking and looking and looking for a product that I can place under the different boats that I build for my customers to place in there businesses. I have bought tiles that aren’t strong enough or don’t look nearly as nice as your tiles. Not only were they easy to install and provide protection for the kids playing on them It has helped my business to really boom. I can’t thank you guys enough for not only supplying this product but for the service that I got from the sales and customer service staff.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
What a unique use for our trade show flooring and what great feedback from one my customers.  Thanks Tom!

Playground Safety Surfacing

Bounce Back Playground Surface TilesI recently had a customer email me regarding our Bounce Back playground surface tiles.

Thanks for the follow-up.  The mats are working out great – it’s wonderful to have the peace of mind that if she takes a little tumble the mats are there to cushion fall.  We are working on getting some pics, and will send them along ASAP.

On occasion we have customers that will let us know how much our products have helped them in some way.  In this case, there were two things that she really loved and commented about the product: 1) how great it looked after the product was installed and 2) the peace of mind that if she [her daughter] takes a little tumble the IPEMA certified rubber mats are there to cushion the fall.
It’s great to get these complements from customers who like the product so much that they go out of their way to write me an email.  As a sales person who takes his work personally, always  trying to help the customer get the perfect product for their needs, it means a lot.
Our Bounce Back interlocking playground tiles not only accomplish the things she complimented us on, they can also raise the value of her home and make her friends and neighbors more comfortable about having there kids over.
A lot of times I even have customers send pictures of how well the product works for them and how nice it looks for their application. I will gladly post some of those in the near future.
