Non Slip Drainage Mats Even In Mexico Bars!

Posted on: May 9th, 2014 by

Non Slip Anti Fatigue Mats Will Save You Money In The Long Run!While staying with my brother in Mexico, he encouraged me to try some of the finer and more ‘upscale’ eating establishments available in his neighborhood of Juarez. Think of it like Mexico City’s equivalent of Silver Lake. The first Saturday there, him and his girlfriend took me and mine to a pizza eatery built out of the basement of one of MANY historical buildings there. A Spanish colonial residence who’s exterior is meticulously preserved now surrounded by technical schools, OXXO’s, 7-Eleven’s, and streets that would make a New York pedestrian squeamish from complexity. The entrance was lined with fancy entry mats and we made our way to our table. There, we decided to order a home cooked pizza. Marinara, date, and asparagus with a faint touch of wine in the dough. It was delicious. And impressive that the cooks were able to whip this out in such a short time. Craft beers abound, we relinquished  in a drunken stupor back to the apartment. I made it a point to try and remember that I got a peek at the mat behind the bar. To my non-shock, it was the very non slip drainage mats so common in bars… and provided by my place of daily employment. It seemed that even across borders, the influence of ‘mats’ followed me everywhere.

The night was kind and without incident. Until the sun came up and it’s first unfriendly beams poured in through the curtain-less guest bedroom and directly into my tired eyes. As I reached for my phone to check the time, a sudden influx of pain and nausea began to manifest within me. A low rumble and gurgle urged me to get  out of bed. But my weary spirit declined and with an almost child like internal plea, I forced myself back to sleep. I closed my eyes anew, and before I could reach the sweet bliss of the dream state, the rumble and gurgle turned into a stampede of wild buffalo running from something… something terrifying. Stumbling out of bed and unable to answer my better half’s mumbled inquiry, I was sat upon the freezing cold porcelain in what seemed like a flash. To the horrible shock of my tender end,  what followed was a catastrophic display of entropy in it’s rawest form. For the next 30 minutes of my life I bowed before a terrible pain and sorrow I always understood was reserved for the poor, unwitting western foodie tourist on his first, uninformed excursion to a genuine Delhi eatery.

When the carnage was over and my eyes restored focus, there I sat, hunched over and staring the very thing I had all but forgotten to think of from the night before: a non-slip drainage mat.

Commercial Outdoor Entry Mats To The Rescue!

Posted on: October 1st, 2013 by

Commercial Indoor Outdoor Mats When You Want The Job Done Right!High Performance Matting Systems (HPMS) are all the rage. A high performance matting system for commercial outdoor entry mats should follow “the rule of 15s”. The rule of 15s state that any HPMS should consist of the following:

1. A 5’ scrapper runner outside the facility,
2. A 5’ scraper/wiper in the entrance way and
3. A final 5’wiper mat to trap any excess detritus material and liquid that may have escaped the first two mats.
You may ask, “Why is this so important?” Well, if you were my child asking this question you would be told, “Don’t speak with your mouth full and finish your pancit.”

Of course, you aren’t my child, so I may as well answer.

People who use commercial mats should have a high performance matting system in a facility that has foot traffic of 50 people entering and exiting the building twice a day (four times a day if they eat lunch outside the facility.) will prevent an average of 23 pounds of soil and other debris from entering that facility over a 1 year period. It costs on average $500.00 PER POUND to remove this gunk in chemical cleaners and labor.

I just saved you $11,500.00 per year. You may thank me if you wish.

Here are more side benefits of the High Performance system.

1. If you are required to fulfill a “green initiative” or your company has a “green mandate”, you can proudly show the HPMS as a huge factor in the reduction of the use of harsh, non-environmentally friendly cleaning chemicals.
2. SLIP AND FALL accidents cost money . . . lots and lots of money in potential lawsuits and lost labor. With a HPMS these typical “I slipped on the goo that Troy from accounting tracked in from the parking lot”, are preventable. 100% PREVENTABLE!
3. HPMS outdoor entry mats are more durable and generally have longer warranty coverage than your typical average entry mats or rental mat service.
4. Health considerations. Let’s face it, it is a gross, messy world out there and people will put their feet on just about anything including where you sit, let alone where you eat. Just the thought of where your nasty shoes have been is making me want to spray myself with Lysol and cower in the safe room.

There now, I have saved you enough money to buy a small car, helped you move forward in fulfilling your federal obligation of going “green” so you don’t go to prison , saved you from dozens of frivolous lawsuits and prevented you from contracting the plague.

Now, sit down and finish your pancit, then order these mats already.

Commercial Flooring Your Silent Partner!

Anti-Fatigue Mats For The Workplace!Mats of all shapes and sizes are quite literally, right under your feet. At all times, in all manners or places and purposes you will find an entire army of mats at work. These silent partners go mostly unnoticed by most. Having emerged myself completely into the secret world of these mats I now see and find them everywhere I roam. For example last night I was out with a few friends; catching up and having a few drinks at our old watering hole. On the way out we all walked over, yet I was seemingly the only one that noticed the Crosshatch Entry Mats at the back door.

Each time I enter a retail location there is always some type of commercial entrance mats. These mats simply sit there, ever hard at work. They are the gate keepers of the corporate and retail empires. Commercial mats and rubber tiles line the production floors of the factories the produce some of your favorite technological items. From Televisions to Cars; their corridors are lined with Anti-Fatigue Mats and rolls or rubber. Their front offices guarded by office mats.

Mats are the silent partners of industry and if you look closely you will find them in all their various incarnations. The next time you’re out and visiting your favorite stores or haunts, turn your eyes to the ground and take a moment to notice the nameless workers beneath your feet. The mats are everywhere!

Door Mats Not Only Clean Shoes, But Make A Good First Impression!

Entry Mats Keep Your House Clean!I shall be moving into a new place in the next few months. Since my last excursion, let’s just say I “purged” quite a bit of my personal belongings and necessities in order to save space for another living situation. However now that I will be venturing out to a larger place once more; sharing a friend mind you, but still…bigger! I am in dire need of some home furnishings. So I thought to myself, what better place to start then here. I know the products, I know what they are good for and I now have a place to actually use them.

First off, kitchen mats. Although, between me and the many of you out there amongst the interwebs; I really don’t do dishes that much. But still, when I do I am going to need some support. So kitchen fatigue mat is on the list. Next and what most will see would be my welcome mats. Every home needs good entry mats. This signifies that it is a home, and of course serves the very necessary purpose of cleaning one’s shoes but hey, looks is what really matters, right?

Finally, to the real heart of the thing; the luxury dare I say. I am certainly due for a new body pillow for the ‘ol bed get up. Something that is nice and new and actually comfy. So onto the body pillow, just the thing to wash away the day and bring in my favorite part of my day…when I get to sleep.

That is my plan and I am sticking to it. Wish me luck y’all, I’m gonna need it!

Carpet Logo Mats – Advertisement At Your Doorstep!

I have to pat myself on the proverbial back, as for the last month and a half I have been cigarette free. After for smoking for more than half my life I have officially kicked the habit…in a way. Thanks to the new and fandango’d electronic cigarettes that are becoming ever-more popular these days; I was able to go from a pack and a half a day cigarette habit to much less. Both physically and monetarily the electronic cigarettes, or e-cigs have certainly improved both my health and pocket book.

Many people find their first e-cig through friends and inevitable go online to purchase the kits and units themselves. However recently there has been what’s called vapor shops popping up all over major cities. These vapor shops sell exclusively electronic cigarettes and the nicotine and flavored juices that are the main components of these marvelous little things. Not unlike a hookah lounge, you walk in across nice plush entry mats and wait for your own personal assistant so that you can try out different units and flavors before you purchase. Many of these shops are class-act joints. Full ads in front, even logoed mats at the front door step. Once you approach the sample booths you’ll find the same type carpet logo mats at each booth for the customers.

Simply sit and vape to your heart’s content. The décor at the one that I frequent is quite nice and as such it is very possible to loose quite a bit of time browsing and sampling the multitude of options one would have. The fact that they put so much professional attention into the shop certainly makes it more accommodating. You would be surprised what a few good entrance mats and logo mats can do to a retail establishment. I am certainly pleased not only with my little e-cig but also with the shops that I frequent.

Carpet Runners EVERYWHERE!

Posted on: June 17th, 2013 by

Carpets or rugs can really pull a room together. When decorating your home or office, instead of cluttering shelves and walls with knick knacks, a simple throw rug or carpet can give your area that added comfort.

I was thinking about this yesterday when I walked into an office I’ve been in a least a dozen times. It’s a very modern building with a large tiled entrance. The lobby doesn’t have much except a security desk in front of the hallways leading to the elevators. Yesterday it rained and when I walked into the building I was greeted by carpet runners EVERYWHERE! I understand you don’t want people slipping and you want to make sure there is no dirt or debris tracked into the building, but can it look nice? There were about 4 different mat runners, all the same size but all different colors and styles. Furthermore the entrance mats lacked any grippers, like our Stayput Mat, and were sliding all over the place.

This nice clean lobby now looked like the front entrance of a cheap hotel. I understand function and beauty don’t always mesh, but there are options. Having mats on the brain all the time I immediately thought of 2 different entry mats we carry that would look much nicer, stay in place and actually trap debris.

Wildlife Rugs Make Great Indoor And Outdoor Mats!

Posted on: March 21st, 2013 by

Now that Spring is practically upon us, I find myself taking several trips down the ‘ol memory lane. In my much younger years I would visit with my family in Minnesota, with my grandfather particularly. He being the archetype ‘50’s man’s man; we would build everything with his hands. He worked at the local beer manufacture called Hamm’s Beer Company. If you are from anywhere east of the Mississippi river you may have heard of it. He also had a small hunting cabin in South Dakota. Visiting this cabin was always my favorite. It was something that he and I would do together, just the boys in the woods…with guns.

I vividly remember the location, the smells, the way the light hit the trees and the cabin. It was truly beautiful. We would spend hours walking in the woods and looking for any game in the area. Even though we never really found much in the times that we went, it was always a great time. It seemed to be more about just getting away and being out in the middle of nowhere. It was as if we simply used the excuse to go hunting as the reason to be there. The cabin however was always my favorite part. It was so cliché and seemingly typical of a “hunting cabin”. It was a log cabin…literally; my grandfather had built it in the 1930’s with his father, and had been used in our family since, even still today. The fire place was stone, and the walls were laden with trophies of he and his fathers’ conquests over the years.

Near each and every door, from inside to outside you would find wildlife rugs of some sort. There was a great variety of them, from entry mats donning Malards, or door mats with Wolves and Deer. It was as if they had collected them over the years to don the cabin with Bears and Turkeys and any other kind of imaginable wildlife scene mats. I always felt that it fit to the cabin and every time that I see an indoor mat with a nature scene it makes me think of that cabin and the Springs that I spent in the wild Dakotas.

Commercial Indoor Outdoor Mats Keep You From Slip Sliding Away!

Outside Floor Mats Will Keep You From Slipping! The rains are here in good old Southern California and thus the hazards that come with it.  You see here in California, and especially in the Los Angeles area, no one knows how to drive in the rain!  Despite the fact that we have one of the highest percentages per population of drivers on the road, and a huge transit system, it wouldn’t seem that a little bit of water just frightens everyone.  I think that if anyone in Los Angeles ever saw real weather they would cower and hide.

Driving is not the only hazard in Cali with the rains, oh no! You see we just are not equipped to deal with weather, of any kind.  We don’t have real seasons here, just Fall and Summer…that’s about it.  So when it rains and things get wet, people in buildings, offices, and even retail locations don’t think about putting down entry mats.  These mat runners are very useful for giving us patrons and employees a bit a traction on our wet feet as we cross in over that nicely polished, slick floor just waiting to claim its first victim of the new season.  I found this out the hard way this very morning.

So as I walked in, coffee in hand, dreams of sugar-plums still dancing in my head, I did not even think that the floor didn’t have commercial indoor outdoor mats and that this would be a rough start to the day indeed.  So before I knew it I was staring at the ceiling, on my back, coffee still in hand (I have my priorities you see) and wondering what just happened.

Needless to say after this little snafu, when I came downstairs later for lunch; low and behold nice new office entry mats lay in front of the door.   Despite my little brush with death this morning, I am certainly glad to see that tomorrow there will not be a repeat of it.  So watch your step, drive safely and here is to a short Winter.

Welcome Mats, Spirits And Wizards!

Posted on: January 9th, 2013 by

Entry mats serve many purposesAfter the New Year’s festivities this last week, I would highly recommend to you as I have to my friends; to invest in new door mats! Needless to say, I most certainly drank far too much on New Year’s, as I’m sure many of us did. Due to my competitive nature, and my fellow New Year’s Eve-ers playing the oh-so fun game of Wizard (Definitely look that one up); I eventually found myself in a peculiar and somewhat uncomfortable situation later in the evening. Namely I found myself passed out on my friends welcome mats.

Now this front door mat was by far not the most comfortable or supportive of entry mats. Though seeing as though I was semi-conscious at the time this fact did not reveal itself to me till the early hours of the morning. Now I know what you’re thinking, these are not made for that. Indeed, home doormats are made for the effective wiping of feet and overall upkeep and cleanliness of the home; agreed. However, I love things that are multi-purposed and if only my dear friends would have found some time to update their door mat to a more “accommodating” mat perhaps I would have woken slightly more refreshed and rejuvenated…still confused of course, but rested perhaps.

Needless to say the Wizard (yours truly) will be updating my own outdoor doormats at home in preparation for another such evening. Fore anything can be a resting place for a wary Wizard and every mat needs a home. So the time for updating those mats is at hands everyone. Trust me your neighborhood wizards will certainly thank you.

Perhaps you’re the industrial type, or have an office that you need to lay down some Door Mats for the season.  I know that as I walk into the office I see the Misson Trapper Mats and Simplicity Rib Mats at our entry ways for those rainy days.  In addition, we have a large variety of eco friendly door mats.

No matter the season, purpose, function, or aesthetic our Indoor Door Mats and Outdoor Doormats are there to ensure that what is outside, won’t make its way inside. As always a fond week to your all and get ready for the Holidays!
