Anti Fatigue Mats For Christmas Gifts?

Personalized Carpet Mats make great gifts! This is a very busy time of year all around.  At home there are dinners to plan, decorations to put up and gifts to buy.  At work we have been making sure there are people on the phones to answer your calls, stock in the warehouse and ensuring things go out on time. I’m mentally prepared for high volume of calls, figuring I’d be selling a lot of our in stock folding mats or a balance beam, but I’m talking to more people about Anti Fatigue mats and Carpet mats than any of our more typical holiday items. I don’t quite get it. I know most of the country is being rained or snowed on, and I’m sure keeping floors clean is probably a big concern, but I might be upset if I received and Anti Fatigue mat for Christmas. Not that it isn’t a great product, but I would only buy somebody something so practical if it was expensive and our mats so aren’t!

The Carpet logo mats I kind of understand.  They’re very practical for keeping your floors clean and dry but they’re customizable so you can create a unique one of a kind gift for someone. One of my co-workers actually bought one for her husband for his garage. Now he has something cool to look at and she knows all the garage crud won’t be tracked in on his shoes into their house.

Speaking of the garage!! And this is totally off subject, but I just had a customer put Tuff-n-Easy tiles in his garage and I want to now! We advertise that they’re meant for gym or garage flooring, but I personally have never had somebody use them in the garage. According to my customer the tiles have a very professional clean look and protects his cement. I wouldn’t think the garage floor is something you’d be concerned with “protecting”, but I guess over time oil and whatever else can make it look pretty gross. Also, if you have weights or heavy equipment you can be sure if you drop them they won’t crack the floor or me damaged by it.

Carpet Logo Floor Mats – The Quality Speaks For Itself!

Personalized floor mats for your businessI recently, FINALLY, got business cards and now I’m looking for reasons to give them out! I got my first opportunity a few days ago. As you may not know, I have become permanently damaged and have this constant need to examine any “Mat” I come across. Well, I was at a car repair shop and noticed their Carpet Logo Mats were in horrible condition! I could clearly see the name of the company they got it from; it’s one that makes the mat and also picks it up and cleans it for you.

Now I’m not going to throw that company under the bus, but they don’t seem to have a very good product. Granted the fact that they have a cleaning service is probably a big appeal, but I would think a mat that’s easy to clean yourself (like ours) is probably better.  It also seemed to me that they either don’t know how to clean their mats right or have a very low quality mat. The one I saw had absolutely no border on one side, and according to the repair shop guy- he was told that just happens sometimes, and he’d need to buy a new mat. I saw my chance. I casually pulled out a card and said “check out my company’s website, our mats won’t fall apart when you clean them”.  I should have also mentioned that the artwork on our entry logo mats would be much clearer than his mat, but I didn’t want to bad mouth the competition anymore.

I’ve always believed that our quality speaks for itself.  Carpet Logo Mats are a great way to advertise at the entrance of your business. These personalized floor mats have a washable, rubber gripper back for safety and longevity.  In addition, these mats are durable and fade-resistant.

He’ll call, eventually. Especially now it’s starting to rain he’ll probably have a need for a mat with borders. Even if his current mat has the capacity to hold water and debris, without a border the water will just leak out.  I almost feel like going back over there to point out that with the current weather his mat will probably need to be cleaned more and could potentially fall apart more.

On a side note (as a testament to how great our stuff holds up) I bought my grandma a cushion comfort mat over a year ago and I know it gets plenty of abuse.  It looks a little darker but with no tears or scuffs.  As important, it held its cushion feel very well, it still feels brand new!

Anti-Fatigue Kitchen Mats Ideal For Bars, Service Areas, Kitchen & Industrial Areas.

Anti-Fatigue Kitchen Mats For Bars, Service Areas, Kitchen & Industrial Areas. Burgers. Yum! No one makes them better than In-N-Out. I feel sorry for all you non-California residents that have to deal with sub-par and derelict nutritional substance.  If you have a life crisis, these burgers will make you whole again.

I actually don’t even get meat on mine, they’re that good! I know it sounds terrible and hypocritical but, alas, I enjoy my animal-style grilled cheese knowing that somehow, somewhere, my decisions lets another bovine Betty get one more miserable day writhing in her filth… perhaps even on one of our livestock mats? Zing!

Seriously though, on a MUCH cheerier note, I couldn’t help but notice that the kitchen workers were all standing on floor mats that look quite a bit like our Performa Non Slip Anti Fatigue Mats. Now I’m not saying that they are our Performa mats, but if it looks like it and it smells like it, then it’s probably, er, it.

Moreover, I wouldn’t dare suggest that In-N-Out burger give us official MatsMatsMats.com employee lunch vouchers in exchange for exceedingly good reviews on their menu items and a break on these awesome non slip mat and drainage mat used in the kitchen as safety-mats, but I’m just saying; In-N-Out is playing it safe and safety for employees is paramount when you’ve got hormonal teenagers running the show and not sabotaging my meals with saliva expressionism. Not just the advertised ones, either. (Flying dutchman anyone?)

In any case, my lunch was a little more interesting (and creepier) knowing that our sphere of influence to just about every nook and cranny of my daily life. I can go into details and start naming potential sponsors (Trader Joes, I’m looking at you!), but I’ll refrain since I don’t want to run out of stuff to talk to ya’ll about.

Kneeling Pads Would Have Been Real Knee Savers!

Knee savers would have saved my knees!!!  It’s really dumb that I work here and have access to all these great floor mats and other products and don’t use them all.  I’ll tell you why… This last weekend was what Southern Californians referred to as Carmageddon.  Basically the freeway that connects 2 major cities, with at least 374,000 cars traveling on it every day, was closed for construction.  This forced people to find alternate routes, potentially causing major congestion.

On Sunday I took one of the alternate routes and luckily didn’t have too much trouble with traffic, but I did get a flat!  Ordinarily I wouldn’t care because I could just sit in my car listening to music until AAA got there. Unfortunately for me I was on my way toKneeling pads are a kneecessity when changing a car tire a dinner party and had to pick somebody up on the way, so I was forced to fix it.

Here’s where I could kick myself…  I had to kneel in my pants, so I laid down a towel to protect them from getting dirty.  Smart..right?  Wrong.  I could feel the little rocks stabbing me on the ground which is enough reason to want extra protection.  What I didn’t realize is that the rocks were breaking skin and causing me to bleed just a little, right thru my khaki pants!!!  I was furious!  No time to change, and I have such easy access to the one thing I could have used, a simple little kneeling pad!  What I am so angry about is I sell kneeling pads every day! Sorry for the non-informative blog.. I just needed to vent!

Kneeling Pads are Knee Savers!

Kneeling Pads are Knee SaversFor a number of years now, I’ve developed a bit of a green thumb. What I found in my childhood to be the boring pass time of my parents has grown on me in my twenties.  Now, about six years into it, I get a very high sense of non-obnoxious-self-satisfaction from cultivating my own herbs that I can use to cook delicious meals for the misses when I’m in the dog house… Or just because I love her.  My knees, however, have seen better days. As if it wasn’t enough to get the tail end of my folks genetic material (I’m the youngest of four children, freakishly taller than EVERYONE in my family, have the only set of crooked teeth, a bi-cuspid aortic valve, and most likely some mild ADHD).  My knees can be delightful little buttons of pain from hours of being on the floor cleaning out pots, water reservoirs, and tending to soil and grow mediums.

Enter: The Knee Saver Kneeling Pads! (insert dramatic victory music right………… here.)

I’m a little ashamed to admit that I have had a foam kneeling pad for about 3 freakin years and ONLY until the misses asks (over my loud grunting and complaining), “Why don’t you use that spongy kneeling mat that looks like a cutting board?” did I actually think of using it. Naturally, my response was, “Because I’m a man and as a man, I’d be doing a dishonor to my masculinity by admitting a clear oversight, dammit!”.  I didn’t really say that, but after a couple of weeks I have to state that, quite obviously, these things are just awesome.  Whenever I’m doing ANYTHING on the ground this thing comes in handy… whether it be as a little car maintenance, gardening, or various house chores that require quite a bit of time on the knees, these inexpensive little guys are life-savers or should I say, Knee Savers! Haiyo!

OMG! Some People Are Actually Interested In Mats!

Anti Fatigue Mats, Trade Show Flooring, Gymnastics Mats - Think About ItOMG! You guys actually read these things?! I didn’t believe it until Mr. Mats himself told us he can see number of people that visit the blogs. That’s great.  Now, I don’t feel like I’m talking to nobody! Not to show my age or anything, but the internet or social media is amazing and has come such a long way from the AOL discs we received in the mail to “try” the internet.  You can literally say anything you want to nobody in particular and somebody interested can seek out the information.  It gives anybody an outlet to discuss or rant about anything they desire.

I’ve had some friends read my blogs and they all seemed less than thrilled. It really took away my motivation. Then I stopped and realized that they have no interest in Gymnastics Mats, or Tradeshow Flooring, or Anti Fatigue Mats so of course they’re not going to find my writings interesting. You guys, however, sought out this information and are probably more entertained/benefited by these. Now that I know I have an audience I think I can be a little more creative. I know we carry a ton of different products, but you’d be surprised how hard it is to talk about them- to myself essentially. I really wish you could comment, I’d love some interaction. You can always call me if you want to talk about the blogs or maybe I sparked a question about something, then maybe I can write a blog inspired by you! Stay tuned, I’m going to start brainstorming ideas to make these blog articles more informative and entertaining.  I should do a youtube channel, where I answer questions! Would you watch?  I’m kidding- kind of.

Dog Crazy

Rolled Rubber Flooring - Doggy Daycare FlooringThere are several dog flooring options, but lately everyone in the dog day care business and dog agility world seem to be turning to the rolled rubber flooring as their preferred choice of flooring.  It has been something of a revolution in the business. The material is easy to roll out and install.  When used with the sealant it is impenetrable to water.  It provides cushioning for the dogs paws and I have not had a single complaint about scratches.  In short, rolled rubber makes wonderful doggy daycare flooring.

The material is used in gyms and other facilities like ski resorts because of its durability.  Made of 100% recycled rubber where over 85% comes from tires it is very environmentally friendly. The process to produce the material is lengthy to say the least, but still quite affordable.

So, if you are in the market for doggy daycare flooring, agility flooring, rubber gym flooring or any other place that might benefit from this eco-friendly, durable, versitale product you’re welcome for the news flash.

Jammin With Rolled Rubber Flooring

rolled rubber flooring can enhance your rehearsal spaceGreeting mat enthusiasts! It’s been a long and eventful week here at MatsMatsMats.com and I’m a little excited at some of the traffic we’ve been getting.  My customer from Percussion Design is hard at work on a prototype practice drum (see previous post relating to this) and we’re really curious to see how our product stacks up.

On a semi-related note, a customer and fellow twiddly-fiddler (this is an industry term for musician) from Kilauea happened upon our rolled rubber to lay over his concrete floor in a jam/rehearsal space.  I can’t stress enough how great this is for this application!  Concrete is not only uncomfortable to stand on for hours at a time, but it also helps low end frequencies travel and high frequencies bounce inside the room.  This results in a boomy, louder-than wanted sound which leads to faster induced ear fatigue.  Aside form this, one of the great overlooked benefits of our rolled rubber flooring is that rubber is way easier on the legs of drum kits, amplifiers, and any priced instruments that might be accidentally dropped by clumsy band mates.  To take it a step further, I’m reminded that if rubber isn’t your first aesthetic choice, this is a great product to use as sub-floor which will help to greatly deaden the volume of the rehearsal space. This ought to keep very loving, caring girlfriends/wives happy when they’re trying to not listen to your next number one hit.

Rolled Rubber In New Drum?

During the last few years of working at MatsMatsMats.com, I have had the good fortune of talking to more than a few interesting customers.  I was contacted by Keith  Pickens of Percussion Design LLC this week to talk about our  rolled rubber (which has many uses, most notably as gym flooring).  Their company is designing a new type of electronic drum that circumvents triggers and instead uses the natural acoustic resonance of the shell and a rubber head to create a natural sound that also triggers an electrical signal into an amplifier or sound module.  In other words, where traditional electric drums essentially work like a play button that when struck triggers a drum sound via a module, this drum creates it’s own electric-acoustic signal that can be directly plugged into an amplifier.
Â
Since they are working on prototypes, they were looking at our 1/8″ thick recycled rubber product (or possibly one of our anti fatigue mats)  to use as part of the head of the drum which is the part that the drum strikes directly. This is very exciting as I’ve personally been to the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) show several times and have gotten to see all kinds of new, cutting edge, and sometimes very strange musical instruments. For more information on their work over at Percussion Design LLC, feel free to visit www.percussiondesign.com
Stay tuned next week for a follow up on the prototype.
